Description
Spenser Madison, a twenty-something single man, is a solitary individual with very little social outlets. He’s not a party animal. He has his work and his home which keeps him busy enough to meet his needs. His mom, a widow with only him and her church family, lives just 30 miles to the north of him. She often reminds him that she wants grandchildren someday soon. He doesn’t see how he can make her happy in this department anytime soon as he is not seeing anyone. His boss, Mr. Able, asked him to drive him to the airport on Monday morning. He needs to pick Mr. Able up early before Spenser opens the investment office for the day. On Spenser’s way to pick him up it happened. The police car pulled in behind him. Then he saw the flashing blue lights come on. Spenser had driven this route thousands of times. He knew he wasn’t speeding or running a stop sign. He knew this wouldn’t take long. Five minutes later the officer had him step out of his car. He put cuffs on him and had him sit in the back of the patrol car. The only explanation the officer gave was what he had gotten from his radio check. Spenser was told he is driving with a suspended driver’s license. According to the State records it had been suspended for a DUI. Spenser asked what DUI meant. (Driving under the influence.) How did this DUI happen when he neither drinks booze nor does, drugs? He thought, how can I get this error solved? What about his boss? Can Mr. Able find another ride to catch the flight? Will this officer let me call? Am I going to jail? What will happen to my car?
