First Story: FREEWHEELING = Duffy retires after twenty years with Uncle Sam’s Navy. He experiences the unexpected even before he left the base that last day. And that was only his first trial. He wouldn’t know it but even worse was to happen in a couple days.

Second Story: RUNAWAYS = Ryan and Blake at sixteen felt they were ready to make of it on their own. Ryan was still not ready to give up their freedom plan on their first rainy night after most of their camping gear was washed down the creek or soaking wet. But Blake needed to be convinced to not head back home. But they did continue after retrieving all their camping gear and drying all of it. It did take a long debate between them to convince Blake to finally move on. Could these two make a go of it?

Third story: A JOB TITLE = Within the last couple weeks Ben sent out several resume’s without getting any job interviews. This is true, with the exception of the ski lodge. When his mom told him the ski lodge had called to set up an interview visit. He almost jumped at the chance. When he sent them his application he had this secret desire to seek a seasonal job up there. He had loved going up there to ski as often as he could afford while still in high school. He knew that skiing was much like riding a bike. He might be rusty after four years but it would certainly come back to him quickly. He agreed to go up as nothing was happening with his other resume’ activities. Mr. Clark, the lodge’s director hired Ben on the spot. Ben’s thoughts were this would give him income and lodging during the ski season. Maybe the job market will look better by next spring. This move covered his short-term needs. Later, it proved to also more than cover his long-term employment needs.
